| The
Gull Island Tour: The
Gull Island Tour is an hour round trip. We leave the Homer Harbor and
head straight over to Gull Island, which takes about 7 minutes.
Gull Island is a nesting place for sea birds. Among the birds seen there
are the tufted and horned puffins, the pelagic and the red-faced cormorant,
the galacous-winged gull, the kittiwake gull, the common mure, and the
pigeon guillemot. It is not uncommon to see other birds and marine wildlife
in the area as well, such as eagles, otters, harbor porpoise, seals
& sea lions. For

Wildlife Tours: Our
Marine Wildlife Tours are two hours round trip. They include Gull Island,
60 foot Rock, and more. We see all the birds Gull Island has to offer
up really close, and then we visit the sea otter rookery of 60 ft Rock.
As this trip is two hours long we have more flexibility as to the places
we can go. If clients want to visit the communities across the bay as
well as marine wildlife viewing, we will gladly incorporate that desire.
Sometimes our clients like to hop off on a beach to poke around in the
tide pools, or to beach comb. You
never know what you'll see on a tour of Kachemak Bay. Sea Lions, porpoise,
seals, and eagles are common place. Who knows, maybe we'll see whales
on your trip! For pricing and reservations, go to 'booking info.' |
