You start by taking one of Smoke Wagon's water taxis from the Homer Spit over to Jakalof Dock. Along the way, we drive right by the bird rookery and otter nursery grounds of 60 foot rock, stopping along the way for some photo opportunities.
Next, Jim's land taxi picks you up at Jakalof Dock and takes you to the town of Seldovia via Jakalof Road. The 20 minute taxi ride is very scenic with small rivers and stunning views of Kasitsna and Tutka Bay.
Once in Seldovia, the time is yours. There is lots to do! Take a stroll along the old Seldovia boardwalk, grab a cup of coffee at a local cafe, take a hike, visit Outside Beach, rent a kayak, pick berries, have lunch, relax and enjoy the tranquil small town atmosphere. If you fancy spending the night, there are plenty of accommodations in the form of hotels, inns, B&Bs and lodges.
When you are ready to return to Homer, Smokey Bay Air is waiting for you. Smokey Bay Air offers both five and three passenger planes. They leave at a quarter to the hour all day long with a flight time of approximately 15 minutes. Once you land in Homer, Smokey Bay Air calls you a cab to go back out to where it all began, at the Smoke Wagon office on the spit!

The entire Seldovia Package is pre-arranged, pre-paid, and hassle free. It is a great way to see Seldovia and take an amazing tour by land, air and sea. The total package costs $125.oo per person, a price well worth a day packed with adventure.

If you don't like planes, we can arrange to take you directly to and from Seldovia in one of our 6-pack boats. This trip requires a minimum of 5 people with a price of $65 per person.
 
Any time is a good time to visit Seldovia! The 4th of July, however, is a great time! Packed with people and festivities, the 4th of July in Seldovia is the best bet for celebrating with 4th on the lower Kenai Peninsula.
